WOW!! : You know we said we would try a Novice well we did today and won!! he got a 7 for his first medium trot, and a 7 for his first medium canter. OMG it was soooooooo hot, I gave him a wash just before we left and a wash when we got back. We are out again on Sunday so I will let you know how we get on, he is so lovely when he is good if only he could always be like that.

It was a bit interesting, 1st test he did a huge buck as the bell rang but I tried to keep my cool as he had worked really well in the warm up and it was just stupidness!!
Regained my composure and got an '8' for my entry, in fact I had 3 '8's in the whole test the judge actually called me over at the end of the test and said she spent the whole test on the edge of her seat! We came =2nd with 68.5% in that test in some really good company and qualified for the Prelim Championship next year 2011.
In the Novice test he felt really lovely, some of the movements he still struggles with, but I got 2 '8's and came 3rd with 65% I was on cloud '9'.
Still after that elusive 70% test but it is so close!! I'm now getting 7's for our canter so its only a matter of time.

All that hard work is really starting to pay off as we came 1st again today in a Novice, no 8's but much more consistent marks.
His attitude has really changed, he can really move when he thinks what he is doing, canter is improving all the time and he did some good medium trot work, it was my fault this time, as I didn't balance him enough before I started, still it will come because in the warm up arena he was producing some good ones!
